It’s been a very crazy last couple of days, just a few days ago it was days spent watching Melbourne United’s promotional efforts and wondering what can be gleaned from it for some future Tigers to NBL effort and now here we are excited about the Melbourne Tigers return to SEABL.
So what do we know?
– Tigers are returning to SEABL for the first time since 1983
– Men’s team in 2016, Women’s from 2017
– Andrew Gaze is coach of the Men’s team
– Tigers will play their games at MSAC
– The Age cares about the Tigers (Roy Ward in particular)
– Lindsay Gaze is still very hard working
– There’s still plans for the NBL
We’ll be playing against old NBL pals the Nunawading Spectres, Geelong Supercats and The Frankston Blues who were the Bears in the NBL and a host of other teams from Tasmania all the way to Queensland including the Ballarat Miners who still celebrate defeating the 1989 Tigers.
Player signings are still yet to be revealed and there is no membership details or season fixture in place yet but we can wait patiently for those and expect an avalanche of Tigers information when they are revealed.
There’s VJBL news as well, Congratulations to Georgie Nolan for first being a nominee for Girls Got Game and then being the Week 4 winner, well done Tigers fans on voting for her too for those is no doubt that Georgie is fully deserving of the win.
Don’t forget to come on home to the official Tigers Facebook page, 230 fans have joined the page so far and as the word spreads about the Tigers return to SEABL.
Let’s see what comes our way next week.
Go Tigers!
